Supplier Management

Elite Moving Labor is a nationwide provider of moving labor service for residential, commercial and government accounts. We are dedicated to providing clean cut, friendly, experienced movers for loading, unloading, packing and furniture movement at an affordable price.

We offer a seamless solution by giving customers a single point of contact, reliable service, standardized rates and a high level of service for every move. While we maintain internal crews for many moves we simply cannot cover the entire country with our own moving teams and require qualified moving companies to perform these services in the same professional manner that we would expect from our internal teams.

Moving labor and full service moving companies are encouraged to apply and join our team as a Supplier. We are interested in reputable, licensed, insured and professional moving companies and will only approve applicant companies that meet our criteria.

College Moving Program

In addition to our primary moving labor program, Elite Moving Labor is always adding new functionality for alternative segments. On February 14th, 2011 we will launch our college moving program which caters to college students. This program allows approved Suppliers to enter their own pricing structure for colleges in their service area as opposed to abiding by our internal pricing structure.

Suppliers who choose to participate in the college program will be able to add the following variables for each individual school:

  • Enter rates for each crew size (1-4 movers)
  • Include a travel charge
  • Establish a minimum time charge
  • Volume discount rate for a specific quantity of same day moves

FAQ & Help

What is General Liability Coverage?
General Liability insurance is an umbrella insurance that every company should maintain. There are much more specific coverages available and should be considered on a case by case basis, however we only require general liability. A coverage minimum of $1,000,000 is required, most insurers will not insure for less than that amount. You may read more information about this insurance here.

How do I Provide my Certificate of Insurance?
You may fax or email your certificate directly or have your insurer do it. Our primary fax is 888-901-4464 and our email is providers@elitemovinglabor.com.

A certificate of insurance is required before an application can be approved

What is a State Entity?
This is a legal standing most states require a company to have. The most common types or Limited Liability Company (LLC) and a C-Corp (Inc). You may also choose to file a "Doing Business As" which is commonly referred to as a DBA. Regardless of how you choose to setup your legal structure, almost every state requires that you establish a legal entity on the state level. This means that a county license or city license is not enough to be a legal company. For more information see your state's department of corporation website or similar department.

Every state has a different name for their division. In Maryland the department is Assessments & Taxation while in Virginia it is the State Corporation Commission. Try finding your state department by searching "my state corporation department".

What is Released Valuation Coverage?
A basic coverage required by law for moving companies to provide to their customers. Moving labor companies must extend this coverage to any item moved while on site for the load, unload or pack. Because we generally do not transport the items our liability ends at the completion of our time on site. You may read more about this coverage on the Elite Moving Labor main website regarding Rights & Responsibilities.

How Long Must the Company be in Business?
While there is no specific length requirement, an applicant must show significant experience in the industry. Established companies can be easily verified due to their membership standings, rankings with companies like the BBB and AMLPA and customer reviews on sites like Yelp. We recommend a minimum business start date of one year for all applicant companies.
